“Applying for Food Stamp isn’t easy”, Audit says

As the title itself says applying for food stamp in Austin isn’t easy, it isn’t easy at all. There are various reasons behind it .The first reason is the excessive increasing of food stamp enrollment which is by 45 percent since March 2008.According to Stephanie Goodman, a spokeswoman for the Health and Human Services Commission, workers have had trouble in keeping pace because of such increment in Food Stamp Enrollment. He said that state has added 800 workers to catch up the work. Many people have state their unsatisfaction but, the state is trying to manage everything by hiring the number of workers to increase the work efficiency.

According to the report, the state is failing to process food stamp applications as quickly as required by the federal government. It offers suggestions on improving communication with applicants, better utilizing technology and improving clerical training. State Auditor John Keel said that people make unnecessary trips to the office and sometimes sit there for number of hours just to submit the application or to ask a question.

In conclusion, it is a well written article with well presented arguments. A bigger emphasis on the Texans problem who are applying for Food Stamp. The author has explained why the Austin State is failing to provide food Stamp application as quickly as required by the federal Government. He is successful in arguing that Texas Government is working on to satisfy the people’s need and solution to the people’s problem. He has well addressed the people’s problem from his prospective. Therefore, I think the Author has done good job by writing about the people’s problem and the effort of Texas Government to solve those problem.
